Norton 360 not live updating


















When I resinstalled the first time, I didn't uninstall first and I didn't use Nrnr, which I didn't know about. I had to run Live update several time too. I've just read your message and will try as per peterweb.

I have not had the issues on my systems. So there is not much Norton can do to notify users when the issue is seen by a relatively small number of users.

I followed your guide - Turned off Fast Startup, then www. Then chose Remove only. Now have Live Update seeming to work ok so far, although the desktop icon relocates on each restart I can live with that, just. Thanks again. Previously I had 60 used of 75GB. Have I lost it or not? What am I doing wrong this time please? When you reinstall , the backup gets reset and disconnected from the cloud storage.

You can still do a restore with your new installation. In the Backup Section of choose to Restore. Then in the from tab choose the online backup and restore any files you have there. Then find any backup sets you can remove and click on the trash can beside it. That will free up the space for your new backup set. Sorry for delay in response - I sent this two days ago but kept getting 'undeliverable' - my fault. I think that the Norton guide could be a little more intuitive, or maybe it's just that I'm not too conversant with IT logic.

Were my machine. I'd clean install. Just me. Norton builds build on earlier builds - As I recall - I've clean installed since my in place Norton Security to Norton upgrade -.

Typically, definitions are updated several times a day and no updates for 10 days seems critical. Over many years the new updates would sometimes not appear under the Identity Category of Security History until you cleared the all the entries if there were more than 3 pages of entries. Lately I have had 10 pages of entries and still received new definition updates until 10 days ago. From your response, I infer that "I'm not the only one being picked on".

The rest of Norton appears to be working well. I had indeed cleared the Identity History. The part I understand is that there are no more Web Protection Definition updates, since that function has been incorporated - somewhere else.

Same issue here, I have 2 Lenovo laptops running Windows Both have fast start disabled. Both began experiencing this issues a few days ago. Restarting seems to correct the issue for a short period.
